New Zealand Earth Quake - Christchurch

Gee the events of today are really heartbreaking, the devastion that has been caused by the 6.3 mag Earthquake that hit the New Zealand South Island City of Christchurch today at 12.51 (10.51 AEST) has left alot of people with their jaw dropped.

Just over a month ago, I sat glued to the TV watching the extended coverage of the floods and TC Yasi in Qld, and just over 2 years ago I sat glued to TV watching Vic Fires.  Now I just can't bear to sit and watch more devastation on the TV, how much more can anyone take of all these natural disasters?

At the time I posted this, 11.30pm - there have been 65 deaths, and 100 + still remain trapped in their office buildings.

My heart truly goes out to those that have been affected by this event.

Why do people have to drag others down? St Kilda

I can't believe I'm even blogging about this subject, but there's just no escaping this pathetic St Kilda Girl Scandal!

Her name is Kim Duthie, not sure why the media continues to protect her name and face when she doesn't try to protect herself on the internet, posting on Twitter and even posting the most degrading videos of herself on YouTube - yes I looked at them, curiousity got the better of me!  After seeing those videos, my opinion of her went even further down the drain (even when I thought I couldn't think any lower of her!).

After all that's happened, why doesn't she just lie low - but she just keeps making it worse and adding fuel to the fire she started but couldn't extinguish!  Does she not know when to just stop?  Obviously not, she just continues to ruin peoples lives and make her own worse along the way.

I'd really like to know what goes through her mind, I mean I thought I was cunning and manipulative - but thanks to her, I now feel alot better about my life and the people I've hurt and destroyed.

So I guess the real reason I'm blogging about this 'school girl' is a release of my guilt and a big thank you to you Kim I. Duthie ... twitter @its_k_isabellas you have given me a clear conscious for the first time in a long time... ha ha

REFUGEES.... Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr (Warning on Content!)

Good Evening All...

Please keep in mind when reading this post, that this is how i feel, it is not my intention to offend anyone.

At the moment I'm really pissed off with the Australian Government and the status of what's happening with these bloody boat people!! I mean seriously, what about all the Australians that are living in poverty?

I read the other day the each month, yes each MONTH, the Aust Gov spends $2.5mil on Hotel rooms for refugees!! I nearly choked on my lunch! Surely we should just send them home, that may sound inhumane from me - but no one caring about Australians that are suffering is even worse! Just because it's not shoved in our faces in the news every night like refugees are or other third world countries most Australians are not aware how many of their fellow country people are living worse than they can ever imagine!

I guess I'm more upset than ever due to the fact that I'm having trouble finding somewhere to live at the moment.  I'm a hard working single mum, with what you could call a 'special needs' child - he suffers from ADHD, and that's really hard work on my own.  BUT, have a read of these points:

·         Now cos of my 'marital status' of Single Mum, no one gives me a break when applying for a rental, EVEN THOUGH I've a good job - yet these landlords look to the 'immigrants' cos they know that they'll move in and if they don't pay their rent then the Aust Gov pays it for them!! God forbid we have them homeless now, what would people think???

·         Aust Gov WILL NOT accept my application for Housing, BECAUSE I WORK!!  It doesn't matter to them what my circumstances are, they have their guidelines and that's that!! I have to just keep on trying with applications.  They've even told me to go to another area, they don't care that I'd prefer to keep my son at the same school (too hard to uproot him as it was hard enough getting this school to understand and help him), or that any other area may be unsafe for a mum and child.

·         Aust Gov MAKE ME WORK as otherwise there’s nothing else for my son and I, i.e. no assistance for single mum’s once your child turns 8 (mind you I’ve worked since my son was 8 months old) – don’t get me wrong, I’m more than happy to go to work to support my family, but I’m not happy that MY taxes to pay for these fucken refugees to have a cosy life here in Australia when I can’t even get moral support!

So in short, I go out to work every weekday to make sure that not only my son and I have a safe and secure life - and even that's a struggle - but to make sure anyone who comes here via boat does!!  Where's the logic in that??

I’d like to know what I do to get a roof over the head of my son and me. Do I need to come in to this country in a boat?  Is that what will get me housed??

Not to mention the crime rate, etc., that has increased – anyone notice the amount of immigrants that are involved in crime? Or accidents? Toddler Deaths? All these we end up paying for!  I won’t even walk to my local shops as there are always ‘********’ hanging around and mugging people!

WHY did we have to pay for the funeral of the tragedy of those lost in the Christmas Island accident?  Why is this problem? They chose to get on the boat!!  Would the Government be as kind as to pay for any of your funerals, or pay for your family to fly here for them? I THINK NOT!!

Where’s Pauline Hanson when we need her?

Australia sux if you’re Australian!
